Built for first-time & repeat Maldives travelers

The Maldives is not just a brochure β€” it's 36 small decisions.

Speedboat or seaplane? Resort alcohol on a local island? Will the manta rays actually be at Hanifaru this week? We built 36 working calculators to answer the questions travel-blog posts skip β€” using public atoll, monsoon, and fee data, not vague checklists.

Built from real Maldives data

Atoll positions, monsoon dates, marine park fees, tipping norms β€” sourced from MMPRC, EPA, and Trans Maldivian public schedules. Not "5-star rating" filler.

Honest about limits

Every tool declares its assumptions and what it cannot predict. No fake "AI" badges, no affiliate-style "best of" lists, no popups.

No tracking of your data

No login. No personal data collection. No third-party cookies. Calculators run locally in your browser β€” see the privacy section.

Purpose. Maldives Trip Toolkit is a collection of 36 small, focused calculators for travelers planning or already on a Maldives trip. Each tool answers one specific decision: should I take a seaplane or speedboat? Will there be manta rays in June? Can I bring a bottle of wine to a local island guesthouse?

Who it is for. First-time visitors trying to choose between resorts, repeat visitors planning a budget-friendly local-island stay, divers and snorkelers chasing seasonal marine life, and any traveler who wants honest answers instead of "Top 10 Resorts!" listicles.

Scope & limits. We are not a booking agency and we do not sell anything. We do not predict real-time weather (we use published climatology). We do not know your specific room rate β€” we use published ballparks and let you override them. For pricing, weather, and entry rules that change, always verify with the resort, MMPRC, or the Maldives Immigration portal.

How it works. All calculations run locally in your browser using JavaScript. We do not transmit your inputs anywhere. No analytics on your specific answers; we do not use cookies to identify you. Google may show ads on this site (see Privacy), but ad providers do not see your tool inputs.

What we collect. Nothing personal. We do not require accounts, do not store form inputs, and do not use analytics that follow you across sites.

Cookies. We do not set our own cookies for tracking. A small "preferences" cookie may be set in your browser to remember collapsed sections β€” it contains no personal data and expires when you close your browser.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. Children. This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Information only. The calculators, articles, and tips on this site are provided for general informational purposes only. They are not professional travel, medical, legal, or financial advice.

No warranty of accuracy. While we try to keep information current, prices, schedules, marine-park fees, weather patterns, visa rules, and cultural regulations in the Maldives change. Always verify with the resort, MMPRC, Maldives Immigration, MET Office, or relevant authority before making bookings or relying on advice.

Safety. Swimming, snorkeling, diving, speedboat transfers, and reef walking carry inherent risks in an ocean environment. The Maldives has strong currents, marine life (including sharks), and remote geography where medical evacuation can take hours. If in doubt, choose a guided excursion, follow the resort's briefings, and buy travel insurance that covers diving.
